Theodore Coulson Obituary

Theodore "Ted" COULSON
1948 - 2025

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Ted Coulson on November 10, 2025, in Knowlton, at the age of 77.
He leaves behind his loving wife of 55 years Dorothy Lenz Coulson and his daughters Tina and Terri (Wyatt Hadlock).
Ted loved life. His passion was sports. He was proud of his 67 seasons of hockey, he hung up his skates with a tear in his eye this year. He played tennis for over 40 years as well as football, softball and golf. He was a natural (don't tell him I said that)!
He was always out and about. He loved his favourite hangouts over the years: Mullarkey's Garage, Ding's Garage, Chez Guy, Papa Spiros and Arnold's. He never missed a garage sale or a good piece of furniture on big garbage day.
While he started out at Clairol, he was most proud of his landscaping company. He loved working with "the guys." He sold a lot of cedar rails and Christmas trees over the years. His handy work can be seen all around the Townships.
He was kind-hearted and was a friend to many. He always made time for a chat and a joke (usually at your expense). We will all miss him each in our own way.
As per Ted's wishes, a private family burial was held at Duboyce Cemetery.
The family would like to thank the First Responders and everyone at the B.M.P. Hospital for their kindness.
Keep smiling.

Ted was a good friend to us and everyone here at the mill. We always enjoyed his visits and his special jelly donuts he would bring for everyone to share. We're thinking of you all, family and friends, during this difficult time. He will surely be missed.

I first met Ted through Friday night hockey, and not long after, I started working for him during the summers. Those summers turned into several years, and even my brother joined us for a few of them. Ted was always a "fun first" kind of guy-someone who made every day lighter-and we spent countless hours talking sports and sharing laughs.

Over time, I had the privilege of getting to know his family, and it didn´t take long to see just how incredibly proud he was of all of you. That pride showed in every story he told.

My deepest condolences to the entire family. I hope you find comfort and peace in the memories you shared with him-they are truly the kind that stay with you forever.

I always remember the visits I had with Uncle Ted. We shared a passion for sports and I picked up tennis after watching him and Dad play after a visit out west. We traded hats on that trip and I always cherished it. I remember him always joking and making me laugh and the rip roaring fires in the basement while watching the Habs. I will miss him dearly. My condolences and love to all of my family.

I used to babysit for Dorthy and Ted back in the day. Ted was a funny, kind man. Dorthy,Tina and Terri, I am so sorry for your loss.
