To Teres, Douglas and Deborah, my deepest sympathies.
I worked with your father on all kinds of projects in the United Church through the years; at UTC, in youth work, in lay training and at Presbytery. He was a delightful colleague and friend., with a wonderful sense of humour.
He was devoted to changing and improving things, always regarded the status quo with a critical eye and with a smile. He understood and loved people for who they were, and for what, he knew , they could become. A gentle, determined revolutionary!
His connection to and admiration of your mother was always evident, often spoken. And he spoke of you three often, as well, with affection. You gave him great joy, and hope.
So many of us loved Tom, and will miss him.

Dear Teres, Deborah , and Douglas, it was a great shock when I googled the Sherbrooke Record for the obituary of someone my husband and I knew and found your dad's obituary right under hers! I was just mentioning yesterday or this morning that I should give him a call! Your dad became the Director of Studies at UTC when I was there and I "just loved him!" He was so supportive and caring of us students, along with a great sense of humour. We also knew from the way he spoke that he loved your mom and you his children, too. We didn't get to your mom's service because of another commitment, but she was also a lovely lady, and her passing was only last year ago , wasn't it. Again, I am humanly sorry for both their passings, and grieve with you just now for your dad. With trust in the Lord, we can be comforted that this is not forever. You will be in my thoughts and prayers.
