May 5, 1948 - November 17, 2021
It is with deep sorrow and much love that the family of Anne-Marie Radko of Midland announce her passing on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at the age of 73 years. She passed peacefully with her family by her side.
She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 51 years, Larry; sons: Jason (Juanita), and Michael (Leanne); grandchildren: Alia, and Jade; siblings: John (Joan) Boonstra, Frank (Connie) Boonstra, Mary-Rose (Bud) Stanchuk and Peter (Jane) Boonstra; as well as numerous relatives and friends.
Anne-Marie liked to share the story of her birth in Batavia, Indonesia, and her experience of immigrating at the age of three to Canada via Holland where her family settled in St Marys, Ontario . She had a lifelong passion for travel, and visited many countries with Larry and her family. She placed great value on relationships and kept in regular contact with childhood friends (the "Belles of St Marys") and from Brescia College (UWO). Friendly and well-liked, Anne-Marie was a well-known teacher and school librarian, with the Simcoe Muskoka Catholic District School Board, who encouraged her students to learn, explore, and "make love grow" every day. She will also be dearly missed by her teaching colleagues, sewing friends and the St. Margaret's Folk Choir.
A Mass of Burial was held on Tuesday, November 23rd, at St. Margaret's Catholic Church Midland.
The family wishes to send a special thank you to the Oncology Department at RVH, the Bayshore Nurses and the Palliative Care Team. Your caring and support for Mom will always be remembered.
