CLAYTON MYLES Obituary
It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Milne Myles, on August 23rd, 2021, in Thornbury, Ontario. He is survived by Faye, his wife of 66 years, their son, Greg (Judy), and their children, Tyler (Ben Westenberger), and Kelsey (Cory Calver), and their daughter, Anne (Ben Bryce), and their children, Isabella and Sabrina Bryce. Milne also knew the love of his great-granddaughters, Elena and Ivy Calver. He is deeply missed by his many nephews and nieces, cousins, extended family and dear friends.
Milne was born in Thornbury on January 6th, 1935, to Bruce and Laurine Myles. He was the youngest of six: Jean (Wallace Jamieson), Lloyd (Marion), Blanche (George Brain), Gail (Murray Smith), and Inez (Albert Gibson), all previously deceased.
Milne spent his life in the Beaver Valley, and always said it was the best place to be. He was active in all sports, and in his community through volunteer work & fund-raising. He was a local Council member, and operated his business of Myles Electric, along with the popular 'Bubble Boutique' on the main street in town. His small apple orchard continues in family ownership. Milne was a handy guy to have around, as his family, friends, and the entire community knew.
He enjoyed activities such as golf, skiing, playing hockey and baseball, and singing in the barbershop choir.
Milne's Parkinson's battle was long and he waged it well. All who knew him gave him their respect, friendship, loyalty, laughter and love. He had the most wonderful sense of humour and fun. The twinkle in his eye and the tear streaked face of a powerful, laughing man, will forever be remembered as he told a witty joke, or played one of his famous pranks! He was a presence that brought his family and friends together. His absence will be felt by us all.
We thank you for contacting us and sharing your memories of Milne. We appreciate any donations made to the Parkinson's disease Research, in lieu of flowers.
There will be no funeral at this time. However, in his memory, a celebration of Milne's life will be held, when Covid-19 restrictions allow.
