JONES, David Earl Passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at home on Saturday, August 24, 2019. David Jones of Vasey in his 74th year. Beloved husband of Myrna Jones. Dear father of Michelle (Mike) Axford of Australia, Steven (Yvonne) Jones of Vasey, Kevin (Carolyn) Jones of Vasey, and the late Kimberley (survived by Darrell) Leonard. Grandpa of Justin, Tyler, Andrea, Christopher, Michael, Andrew, Luke, Carina, Landry, Grace, Clara, and Gavin. Brother of Donne Jones, Patsy (the late Ron) Graham, the late Rilla (survived by Murray) Waples, and the late Diane (James) Bewick. Son-in-law of Charles and Lena Simpson of Oro Township. Brother-in-law of Wayne (Elaine) Simpson, Brian (late Joy) Simpson, Brenda (Elgin) Hyatt, Alberta (Chris) Goody, and Glenn (Michelle) Simpson. David will be missed by his many nieces and nephews, neighbours, and friends. Visitation will be held at the Lynn-Stone Funeral Home in Elmvale on Sunday, September 8, 2019 from 2:00 - 4:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. Celebration of life to be held at Unity United Church in Vasey on Monday, September 9 at 2:00 p.m. Memorial donations to Unity United Church or the Stewart L. Page Scholarship Fund (since 1925) supporting first year university students pursuing an agriculture education would be appreciated by the family.
