Dave passed away in the early hours of Sunday, September 19 at Hospice Simcoe, Barrie.
Dave is survived by his beloved wife Evelyn (Trainor), daughter Jennifer, her husband Mike Mason, and granddaughter Briar Mason. Also mourning his passing are his Trainor in-law's, Dougherty cousins and many life-long friends. Dave truly enjoyed visiting with family and friends especially, those that could hold their own in spirited conversation about hockey and baseball and in his earlier years fishing and hunting. The family would like to thank Dr. A. Dickson, Dr. B. Morris and the amazing team at Hospice Simcoe. Cremation has taken place and to honour Dave's wishes, no event will be scheduled to mark his passing. Dave's only wish was that people remember Dave the way he was in good health and enjoy a fond memory. If desired, donations in Dave's memory to Hospice Simcoe would be appreciated by the family. Cremation entrusted to Marshall W. Driver Cremation & Burial Service, 19 Ross St., Barrie.
