Passed away peacefully at the Orillia Soldiers' Memorial Hospital on Thursday, March 23, 2023, (1931-2023). Born in Englehart, Ontario, predeceased by his parents Robert and Lillian Hack. Beloved husband of Anne (nee Metherall) for 70 years. Loving father of Valerie (late Randy), Darold (Lynne), Paisley (Charlie), and Candace (Steph). Proud grandfather of Natalie (Omar), Ryan, Alyson (Jon), Brody, Lyndsay (Josh), Kevin (Andrea), Devon, Cody (Kelsey), Bailey, Madison, Khloe; great-grandfather of 14 great-grandchildren. Dear brother of Terry, Roger; predeceased by Herb, Verna, Bernice, Fay, Clint, Lloyd, Glen, and Mervin. Dear brother-in-law of Wally and Judy. Don will be lovingly remembered by many family and friends. A memorial gathering to celebrate Donald's life will be held at the Simcoe Funeral Home, 38 James St. E., Orillia, on Friday, April 14, 2023, from 1:30 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to Hospice Orillia, Mariposa Hospice (butterfly club). In lieu of flowers, buy your dad a Tim Hortons coffee.
