Peacefully after a protracted stay at Southlake Regional Health Centre. In her 83rd year, Georgina was the third daughter of George and Annie McLucas, and grew up in the Waterside of Derry, Northern Ireland. Sister to Maureen (Jim) McGinn, Patricia (Jim) Sheridan, and Dympna (Sean) McLaughlin. Predeceased by her husband, Deacon Des, brothers George (Jill), Jack (Pat), and Maurice (Ann), and sister Hester (Billy) McClintock. Proud mother of Vince (Marian), Brian (Ann), and Una (Barry) Keogh. Loving grandmother to Tyler, Tara, Ronan, Noah, Brenna, and Liam. Georgina emigrated by ship to Canada, by train to Toronto, and finally by bus to Alliston, Ontario, within eight days of marrying the love of her life, Des, on July 24, 1961. A woman of strong faith, Georgina was an active member of the Catholic Women's League at St. Paul's parish in Alliston, serving in the Friendship Group and baking wonderful pies for the Potato Festival pie booth. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Paul the Apostle Church, 190 King St. S., in Alliston on Thursday, Sept 30, 2021, at 11 a.m. Interment in St. Paul's cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Georgina's name may be made to Stevenson Memorial Hospital, Southlake Regional Health Centre, St. Paul the Apostle Church, or the St. Michael's Hospital Foundation Transplant and Kidney Care Centre.
