Janet Whittaker

Janet and Brian were actively involved in scouting and met in the choir in 1964 at the Scouting in Action show at the C.N.E in Toronto. They celebrated 55 years of marriage May 14, 2021. Janet loved quilting, knitting, sewing and enjoyed sharing her works with family and friends.

Passed away peacefully with her husband by her side on Monday, August 23, 2021 at Matthews House Hospice in Alliston. Beloved wife of Brian Whittaker. Loved mother of David (Melody), Tim (Lee-Anne) and Jo-anna Bevan (Roger). Loving Gramma of Ashely, April, Jennifer, Katelyn, Jacob, Sydney, Rachel, Celina, Kira, David, Stuart and her seven great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Sharon O'Brien, Don Young (Carol), Fred Young (Janice) and predeceased by Lorraine Best (George), dear sister-in-law of Yvonne Aurelli (late Frank). Janet will be remembered by her nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and neighbours.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Drury Funeral Centre, 519 Victoria St. E., Alliston on Friday, August 27, 2021 between the hours of 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.
