Jessie WRIGHT Obituary

July 31, 1938 - October 23, 2022

Passed away at 84 years of age, with family by her side, at Matthews House on Sunday, October 23, 2022.

She is survived by her loving husband Jim, daughter J.J. (Bill), grandchildren Jenna (Eric), Alecia, Jordan and great-granddaughter Torvi.

Jessie worked for many years in the medical records department both at St. Josephs Hospital in Toronto and at Royal Victoria Hospital in Barrie. She then worked on Base Borden at the Fire Academy where she met and ultimately married Jim. Her enthusiasm and dedication to her military firefighters and the fire service continued with her partnership with Jim when he retired from the military and started their company Associated Fire Equipment Research. It was then that she was able to travel coast to coast with Jim and her love of both the mountains and the east coast developed.

During her life Jessie enjoyed amateur theatre, both as a participant and observer, was involved in the local library, did volunteering and liked spending the warm weather at their trailer at Hammock Harbour in Orillia. She loved big dogs, watching the birds and was always ready to offer her wisdom and advice to family and friends.

Jessie's pride in, support and love for her family was evident to all who knew her. She was deeply cherished, greatly loved and will always be missed.

At her request cremation has already taken place with no service. Donations in her memory can be made to Matthews House in Alliston.

Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Dignified Funeral Alternatives, Barrie, ON 888-322-7222
