John ALLEN Obituary

ALLEN, John Armstrong ""Jack"" Passed away at Georgian Bay General Hospital on Thursday June 21, 2018 in his 73rd year with his family by his side. Jack, predeceased by his wife Monica, will be sadly missed by his daughter Lea-Andra (Wayne) Robitaille, and by his grandchildren Esamae and Callum. He will fondly be remembered by his nephews and nieces Bill (Jean) Allen, Barry (Mary) Allen, Stephanie (Steve) Fournier, Richard Farner, Shawn (Pamela) Farner and Alana Smith and extended family. Jack will also be greatly missed his many close friends that shared his passion, drive and ambition. Jack was a long time member of the North Simcoe Anglers & Hunters Conservation Club. In his time, reforestation of local native tree species and improving our carbon imprint was his passion. A strong believer that we could all make a big difference. One of his mottos was: ""the best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago, the second best time is today"". Family will receive friends at Carson Funeral Homes - JH Lynn Chapel , 290 First Street, Midland (705) 526-6551 for a Celebration of life on Saturday July 7, 2018 from 2 - 4 pm in the reception hall. In lieu of flowers, donations to Tree Canada would be greatly appreciated. Cheques can be made payable to Tree Canada and specify National Greening Program, or donate online treecanada.ca/products/corporate-tree-planting.
