Passed away surrounded by family December 15, at Matthews House Hospice in his 75th year.
John was the Eldest of four born in Montreal, and became the family patriarch with the early passing of his parents.
Married to his soul mate and wife Joanne of 46 years and father of John Wesley and Robert Gordon (deceased 2002). Grandfather to T Rob and Liam. Loved by his brother and best friend Gord and sisters Lindsey and Marianne.
Will always be lovingly remembered by sister-in-law Lesley and brother in law John Perry (Rita) and his 15 nieces and nephews many of whom he helped mentor - John Guy, Jennifer, Jamie, Jeff, Kim, Kate, David, Kristin, Maddie, Kyla, Jessica, Abby, Nate, Nevaeh and Brielle. Special mention to life time friend and sport aficionado "BIG". (Rob Shannon).
Johnny leaves behind friends from coast to coast. Having lived and worked in Montreal, Kingston, Saskatoon, Indiana and settling in Alliston. Cremation has taken place. Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or Matthews House Hospice in Alliston for their exceptional care and compassion for their guests and their families. www.matthewshousehospice.ca in memory of John R.
