Kenneth Fraser Obituary

May 17, 1932 - October 5, 2022
Passed away peacefully at Victoria Village, Barrie, on October 5, 2022 in his 91st year. He now joins his loving wife and sweetheart of sixty-three years, Dorothy Fraser (Grant) (1934-2017) whom he missed terribly. He will be missed by his many friends and family. Dear father of Grant (Carolyn), Murray (Darla), Aleda (Scott) and Bruce (Sue). Loving grandfather of Courtney (Josh), Heather (Jon), Austin, Sarah (Thomas) and great-grandchildren, Darnell, Miley, Olivia, and Blair. Ken had a personality that would fill the room. He was an avid vintage car enthusiast, and a hunter. He looked forward to spending time with his friends and family. He was a very generous and giving person. He volunteered with the Canadian Cancer Society for over twenty-five years and assisted with the Salvation Army Kettle Campaign for about the same time. He worked as a Purchasing Manager for thirty-three years at DeVilbiss Canada Limited and started the Purchasing Managers Association of Canada. He was also a founding member of the Barrie Automotive Flea Market. Cremation has taken place and a private service will take place at a later date. As an expression of sympathy donation may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Salvation Army.

If this is the same Kenneth I had met who I saw every day visiting his wife at the graveyard, I am deeply saddened to hear/see that he has passed. He was a lovely man who I enjoyed seeing each morning as I was dropping my daughter off to school

Ernie and I would like to send out sincere condolences to the Fraser family during this time of lost and grief. Ken was such a big help to my mom and dad when he was a neighbour on Agnes Street. Both he and Bruce were wonderful to them, and I don't know how we could have been able to cope without their help. A shining light has gone out of the world. Sincerely Pat and Ernie Gibson, St. Thomas

Ken is missed at Victoria Village. Myself (Brenda the cleaner) and my boyfriend sat and talked to Ken and heard so many stories from him. He always was giving and occasionally needed help but greatly appreciated it. He is very missed and he is finally resting with his wife. Rest in peace Ken
