92 of Barrie, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 23 at Mill Creek Care Centre. Anna was born to Joseph and Agnes Hudson on May 21, 1930, in Quartz, Sudbury where she grew up. Anna came from a large family of 12, which is most likely why she had an immeasurable love for keeping her family close and together. On October 16, 1949, Alfred Collart and Anna were married. Together they raised six children. She was always busy in her life with her children, grandchildren, and then great grandchildren, it was very rare you saw her sitting to take a break. A firecracker is the best way to describe Anna she loved playing pranks on you and always had a quick-witted response in her pocket. Fierce love is what she had for her family, and she would do anything for them. We always gathered around the kitchen table where her love for cooking was shown. Recipes of her favourite dishes was something she would always be very happy to share with her grandchildren. These recipe's will continue to be cooked in their kitchens with memories of Anna in mind. Anna was survived by her sons Maurice, Glenn (Cathie) and Kim. Her grandchildren Sarah (Matt), David, Beverley, Kai (Henni), Erilynn, Terra, Michael, and James; and her four great grandchildren Kevin, Roland, Sawyer, and Amelia. We would like to thank all the staff of Mill Creek Care Centre for their compassion, care and support given to Anna and family during her stay and for always being so forgiving with her when she was prickly. Anna is now at peace, joining her husband Alfred, her children Barry, Roy and Brenda, her Mom and Dad, as well as all her siblings. She will happily be cooking them many meals and hopefully relaxing.
