Murray Forbes in his 94th year, passed away peacefully at his home on the Forbes Farm on Tuesday, July 26, 2022 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Murray was born July 30, 1928 to Walter and Bessie Forbes on the Forbes Farm in Springwater (formerly Vespra) Township.
Murray is survived by his loving wife and partner of 72 years, Eva Margaret (nee Wallwin), his son Wayne (Carolyn), three grandsons, Michael (Kelly), Ian (Kari), and Kyle (Julie) and five great-grandchildren.
Murray and Eva purchased the farm from Walter and Bessie when they retired in 1964. Murray and Eva enjoyed a life long successful farming career. Murray was a Cattleman, Cow Calf Operator, Buyer and Seller. Many cattle passed through his farm.
Murray and Eva also enjoyed camping with his family and friends and travelling throughout Canada and the USA.
Murray was the youngest of ten siblings. He was predeceased by his parents Walter and Bessie, and brothers Arnold, Gordon, Clarence, Earl, Vernon, and sisters Una, Beatrice, Ethel and Eveline.
Murray was a kind and loving man and will sadly be missed by many nieces, nephews, friends and neighbours.
A visitation and service was held on Saturday, July 30, 2022 at the Adams Funeral Home, 445 St. Vincent Street, Barrie. Interment at Midhurst Union Cemetery. For online condolences please visit
