SMITHAM, Paul E. Passed away peacefully at the Lady Dunn Health Centre, Wawa on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at the age of 75 years. Beloved husband of Thelma (nee Penhale) Smitham for nearly 51 years and best friend and high school sweethearts for 58 years. Adored father of Elaine Smitham of Grand Prairie, AB and Wayne Smitham of Wawa, ON. Proud grandfather of Aria, Spencer and the late baby Justin. Dear son of the late Frank and Irene Smitham. Dear brother of Dale Smitham (late Mary), Doug Smitham (Jane), Keith Smitham (Mary-Anne) and Owen Smitham (Anne). Dear son-in-law of late Mervin and Ethel Penhale. Dear brother-in-law of Marion Nimigon and Russell Penhale (Janet). Paul will be lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews. A private family memorial service was held at the P.M. Gilmartin Funeral Home (140 Churchill Avenue, Wawa, ON, 1-800-439-4937). Cremation at River's Edge Cremation Centre, Sault Ste. Marie, ON.
