Rita Lalumiere Obituary
Passed away peacefully at Oak Terrace Long Term Care Home, Orillia on Sunday, June 12, 2022 in her 90th year. Rita, beloved wife of the late Herman. Loving mother of Suzanne Simmons (Roger) of Marchmont and Chris Lalumiere (Nancy) of Orillia. Cherished grandmother of Melanie Salemi (Jon) of Buffalo, Tanner Simmons (Katherine Van Arem) of Orillia and Michael Sargant of Orillia. Proud great-grandmother of Evan and Akyra Salemi. Dear sister of Bill McDowell (predeceased) (Lois) and Alice Durst (Don) (both predeceased). Loved by many brother and sister in laws, nieces, nephews and friends. Following cremation, Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the Church of the Guardian Angels, 115 West St. N., Orillia on Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at 1:30 p.m. Inurnment St. Michael's Cemetery, Orillia. If desired, Memorial Donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or Soldiers' Memorial Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family. Sincere sympathies to Suzanne and Chris on the passing of your dear Mother and the same to all the loved family members. Rita was such a sweet and lovely person who touched my heart. We sang together in our Ladies Barbershop chorus and quartet for many years - she was a harmony sister! Remembering Rita with much love and sweet memories.
