Ronald Carpenter Obituary

Peacefully passed away on Saturday, October 23, 2021 at the age of 92 surrounded by his family. Will be deeply missed by Marg who he shared 66 years with. Beloved Father to Catherine, Leslie (Dave), Carol (John), Suzanne (Casey). Cherished Poppa of Tyler, Marlo, Merritt, Mackenzie, Logan, Maddy, Maggie, and Macey. Great Poppa of Malin, Miller, Oliver, and Lachlan. He loved spending time with all of his family and friends. Dad was an avid reader and enjoyed many hours listening to Country and Western music on his jukebox. His wonderful sense of humour will not be forgotten. He will be dearly missed by his brothers and sister and fondly remembered by nieces and nephews. Thoughtfully remembered by his friends and neighbours. Dad will be forever loved, cherished and we will hold on to all the loving memories in our hearts forever. Our family is grateful for the compassionate care he received from the Chartwell Waterford Long Term Care Residence. A private family memorial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the charity of your choice would be appreciated by Ron's family.

I have so many fond memories of Ron and the entire Carpenter family. It was a privilege to grow up across the street on Bedford Road. Ron was so funny, easygoing and welcoming. He never seemed to mind having his house filled with neighborhood kids, swimming in his pool and listening to his jukebox (whenever I hear a Johnny Cash song, I think of Mr Carpenter). He was always patient and interested in us kids, asking us what we were up to and joking around. Such a wonderful man and neighbour. My heartfelt condolences to Marg, Cathy, Leslie, Carol, Suzanne and your families.

Spending time at Sue’s house throughout all of high school Mr. Carpenter was always there with a smile and a laugh and a story. He’d sit with us at the kitchen table and was always so pleased to see everyone. My heart goes out to Sue’s family.
