Serge Jeannotte Obituary

Passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at Georgian Bay General Hospital on Saturday, November 13, 2021, at the age of 80, after a brief but courageous battle with lung cancer. Beloved husband of Ruth Ann (nee Playne) of 61 years. Father of Jenny (Gord), Angela (Helge), Gary (Dorothy), and Carol. Poppa of seven grandchildren and great-poppa of nine. Predeceased by his parents Guy and Helene Jeannotte and brother John (survived by Shirley). His surviving brothers and their spouses share in his loss; Claude and Marie, Denis and Laurie, Ron and Doreen and Gerry and Diane Jeannotte.
Early in Serge's career he delivered for Midland Fuels. From there he went on to own his own business; Centennial Heating, where he became well known and respected by many people in the community as a licensed oil and gas fitter and a service repairman. Serge was a handyman who could fix anything. His love of building led him to build four homes for his family in the Midland area. Later, he went on to become a licensed industrial/mechanical millwright and was employed by RCA and Mitsubishi until his retirement in 1996 at age 55. During his retirement, computers and electronics became his hobby and he obtained his A+ certification to fix and build PC's. He was an active man always out walking and biking. He enjoyed his sweets, baked goods, a cold can of diet coke and a weekly game of poker with his friends. His faithful K9 companion, Ruby, will miss him dearly.
There will be no funeral or celebration of life as per his wishes. In lieu of flowers, Memorial donations to Midland Salvation Army or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
