Shirley Orser Obituary
(February 11, 1930 - August 30, 2022)
With great sadness, we mourn the loss of a wonderful woman. Special to all who knew her and deeply loved by her family, whether she was Mom, Nana, Gramma, GrandNan, Queenie, Nana Peel, Nana Shirley, Shirley, Aunt Shirley. She had an innate quality of making everyone she met feel included in her home. She dedicated her life to her late husband and family. May she continue her journey with Hugh/Dad/Boppa as they watch over us. She was loved and will be missed by many. Beloved wife and best friend of the late Hugh Orser. Dedicated Mom to Glenn (Cheryl), Gord (Deborah), Brent (Kathy), Janet (David) Madigan, Sandy (Ian) Farrow, Lori (late Gord) Merritt, Brenda (Kevin) Ellis. Extremely proud grandmother of 18 adult children and 23 great-grandchildren. Ryan (Zelda - Dylan, Ella); Emily; Erin (Autumn, Luna); Evan (Alexia, Octavia); Adrienne (Ryan - Henry, Lillian, Arthur); Ben (Ana - Bellamy, Linden); Jeremy (Anne - Lillian, Emmett, Paige); Mandy (Paul - Wesley, Finley, Peyton); Tamika; Dayna (Jason - Meredith, Declan); Kelly; Kailey (Andrew - Ryla, Thomas, Lawrence); Kyle (Whitney - Hollis); Brianne (Nic); Braydon (Juliette); Tyler, Trevor (Celine), Troy. Nana Shirley to James; Katherine (Lui - Arianna, Anthony); Victoria and Ethan. Daughter of the late Harold and late Emily (Banks) Sims. Predeceased by siblings Agnes (Jack), Don (Aileen), Bill (Joyce), Marjorie (Bill), Elizabeth (Mac), Dorothy (Bob), Ethel (Jim), Beatrice (Ken). Sister-in-law to Merle (late Eric). Predeceased by Ted (Vera), James (Marjorie), Elizabeth (Hank/Jim).
Cremation has taken place. Memorial donations may be made to the Terry Fox Foundation. Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 15th at the home of Kevin and Brenda Ellis. Private service for family at 2:00 p.m. and drop-in from 3-5 p.m.
