Terrance WEST Obituary

March 10, 1949 - February 20, 2022
"Gone Fishing"
Quietly passing away, with his family by his side, after a six-year fight with several health issues. We lost a wonderful son, brother, brother-in-law, husband, father, grandfather and friend. Predeceased by his parents Bill and Gerry West, brothers Asahel, Raymond, Wayne and George. Terry is survived by his sister Roberta Noble (Ron), brothers Maynard (Gail), David (Louise), Harold (Cathy) and Bruce.
Terry is also survived by his wife Carol (nee; Martin) of 47 years, his sons Christopher and his wife Krista, grandsons Liam, Evan and Aaron, and his son Eric and his wife Leanne. Survived by his mother-in-law Barbara Martin (the late Vern). Carol's sister Lynn LeBlanc, and her husband Peter and their son Colin. Terry was blessed with many wonderful nieces and nephews, too many to list. Terry and Carol have a wonderful support group of friends as well. Tim and Maureen Hazlett, Brad and Mary Lynn Hazlett, Ray, Carol, Joseph and Daniel Charron, Ron, Lisa and Charlotte Exell and Gord McColgan (deceased) and his wife Gwen. Terry worked at the head office of Mac's Conveniences for 40 years and was a loyal and hardworking team member. He was also a cub leader for 14 years and he loved being outdoors, fishing canoeing and hiking. We were so lucky to have had the most amazing health care team over the years. Dr. Dennis Kim (oncologist) from Princess Margaret in Toronto. Here at RVH in Barrie, Dr. Derek Nay and his associate Tracy who all hold special places in our hearts. So many other health care people, too many to mention here. We will hold a celebration of Terry's life in the spring.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the Canadian Cancer Society.
