Villy VAERUM Obituary
Born on May 3, 1939, in Denmark to Minna and Ejnar Vaerum. He is survived by his wife, Ute; children, Soren and Vibeke; and his siblings: Sonja, Elin, Lise, Doris, Preben, and Alvin. Beloved Opa to River.
Villy and Ute emigrated to Canada twice, enabling his vocation as a district vet and veterinarian in Manitoba and Denmark. In retirement, Villy and Ute moved to Phelpston, Ontario. An active retirement of travel, golf, and learning followed. A man of the earth, Villy was an avid gardener, creating an oasis for fish, birds, flowers, and trees from scratch. We remember him for his distinct sense of humour, warmth, and inquisitive mind.
The family would like to thank Dr. Omar and Nurse Laura (RVH) and the Springwater Fire & Paramedic Departments for their kindness and professionalism during this time.
Cremation has taken place.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Royal Victoria Hospital Foundation would be welcome.
