(Member of the Royal Canadian Legion Br. #488, Brechin-Mara; Kirkfield Masonic Lodge #498)
Peacefully at the Leacock Care Centre, Orillia, on Tuesday, September 27, 2022, in his 97th year. Murray Birds of Sebright, beloved husband of the late Pauline Birds (nee Jennings). Loving father of Diane (William predeceased) Garvin, Gail (Ralph) Crawford, Darren Birds and the late David Birds. Cherished grandfather of 6 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. Predeceased by his sister Isobel Prowse. Murray is survived by his daughter-in-law Betty McDonald and brother-in-law Harold Prowse. The late Mr. Murray Birds will rest at the Mundell Funeral Home, 79 West St., N., Orillia, Friday, September 30th, from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. Funeral Service in the chapel, Saturday morning, October 1st, 2022, at 11 a.m. Interment; White Chapel Cemetery, Hamilton, Wednesday October 5th, 2022, at 1 p.m. If desired, memorial donations to the Royal Canadian Legion Br. #488, Brechin, or the charity of one's choice would be appreciated.
