William Langmuir Obituary

March 14, 1957 - March 13, 2022

Bill passed away peacefully at Campbell House in Collingwood after a short battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife Heather, their children Andrew (Sarah), Katie (Kyle), Emily (Brandon) and his four grandchildren, Logan, Delilah, Jack, and Huck. He is also survived by his sister Jane (Brian).
Bill will be greatly missed by many family members and friends and will be fondly remembered for his quick wit and his great sense of humor.
As an avid skier and golfer, Bill loved being on the ski slopes with his family and friends and was an integral part of the founding of the Jozo Weider race program. Over the years, he would regale everyone with his talent on the piano. Also, a talented water colour artist, his work adorns the homes of many.
The family would like to extend our heartfelt thanks and gratitude to all the health care workers who cared for Bill over the last few months
In lieu of flowers, a donation to Campbell House Hospice Georgian Triangle would be greatly appreciated. A celebration of Bill's life will be held at a later date. Friends may visit Bill's online Book of Memories at www.fawcettfuneralhomes.com

To Heather & the Langmuir family,
I am so sorry to just now learn of Bill's passing. As kids, we were inseparable. So much fun and great memories of Toronto, Shanty Bay, and Billy's visits to us in Montreal with his mom and dad. 60+ years we knew each other...he wrote me just a few years ago to proudly share photos of his grandkids. Stephen King was right: "I never had any friends later on like the ones I had when I was 12." Until we meet again, Bill. - John

We were so sorry to learn of Bill's passing and pass on our deepest sympathy to his family. My family were at the Toronto Ski Club for 14 years and have memories of sharing Bill's hilarious stories and razor sharp wit over apres beers. His skiing stories and love of the ski lifestyle and sport were great too. Bill - you will be missed. Charlie and Judi Dalton
