William Joseph RAMSBOTTOM

RAMSBOTTOM, William Joseph 1st Canadian Parachute Battalion Association (Airborne) Died peacefully, on Thursday, August 8, 2019, at the General & Marine Hospital, Collingwood at the age of 94. Bill, of Wasaga Beach, beloved husband of the late Rita Ramsbottom, for over 68 years. Loving father of Eric and his wife Marlaine, Lynne Ramsbottom, Cathy Fleming, Anne Ramsbottom-Bowen, Mark, the late Paul, and the late Steve. Cherished grandfather of Tricia, Eric and David, Neil and Paul, Amanda, the late Darren and Christopher Laberge, Archie and Shawn Wright, and Elizabeth and Margaret Bowen, and great-grand-father of Nathan, Andrea, Dominic, Taylor, Aria, Lachlyn, Kairi, AJ, Shawn Jr., and Cyrena. Bill is survived by his sister Margaret Iles, and brother-in-law Eric Stewart and his wife Helen. He was pre-deceased by his sister June and brother Leo. Friends were received at the Carruthers & Davidson Funeral Home - Wasaga Beach Chapel, 509 River Road West, Wasaga Beach, on Monday, August 12, 2019, from 7 - 9 p.m. Funeral Mass was celebrated, Tuesday, August 13, 2019, 11:30 a.m., at St. Noel Chabanel Catholic Church, Wasaga Beach.
