We are saddened to announce the passing of our Dear Mother, Zita Lefaive, on Saturday, September 3, 2022, peacefully, with her family by her side. She is survived by her loving husband of 71 years, Bernard Lefaive.

She will be dearly missed by her children, Don (Theresa), Anne (Ron), Richard (Joanne), Paul (Janet), Denis, and David (Sharon). Predeceased by daughter, Lucille (Donn). Zita was a proud Grandmother to Jessica, Krista, Scott, Angie, Greg, Amanda, Erin, Ryan, Jason, Nicole, Eric, and Crystal. Loving Great Grandmother to 18. Dearly missed by many Nieces, Nephews, and Great Friends.

Dear daughter of Herb and Eliza Lalonde. Dear sister of Alcime (Lorette), Albert (Irene), Ralph (Donna), Theresa (Herman), Nelson (Velma), Homer (Stella), Bianca (Roger), Rena (Leo), Eileen, Lorraine (Chris), Velma (Terry), Diane, Simone (David), and Maurice (Diane).

Zita was very creative and devoted to using her talented skills in making beautiful quilts for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She made wedding dresses for all family brides and bridesmaids.
She was a member of the Daughters of Isabella for 60 years and was proudly inducted to the Penetanguishene Sports Hall of Fame. She loved doing puzzles (1,000 pieces - no less). She knitted many toques, mitts, socks, and scarves to keep us warm and hand-sewn boxers for her grown boys and P.Js for the kids.

The family honoured Zita's life with visitation at the Penetanguishene Funeral Home on Thursday, September 8th from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. A Funeral Mass was held at St. Ann's Church, Penetanguishene, on Friday, September 9th at 1:00 pm, As an expression of sympathy, donations in memory of Zita may be made to Hospice Huronia Tomkins House.
