Diane Marjorie (Daoust) Thurston
December 12, 1962 - August 11, 2025
Diane Marjorie (Daoust) Thurston passed away peacefully, surrounded by love, on August 11, 2025, at her cherished home in 100 Mile House, British Columbia. Born on December 12, 1962, in New Westminster, BC, to Norman and Eleanor Daoust, Diane brought warmth to her family as she grew up in Coquitlam with her siblings, Laura and Paul. She created a joyful home in Squamish, BC, with her late husband, Robert Thurston, and their dearly loved son, Bowman.
Diane was predeceased by her beloved husband, her loving parents, her father-in-law, Ron Thurston, and his wife, Pauline, as well as her brother-in-law, Ed Thurston. She is fondly remembered by her brother, Paul Daoust, and his wife, Robin; her sister, Laura Daoust, and her family; her brother-in-law, Bill Thurston, and his wife, Carla; her sister-in-law, Isabell Thurston (Ed Thurston), and her family; and her sister-in-law, Tricia Widdows, and her husband, Peter, and their family; all of whom cherish her memory.
Diane was a dedicated bookkeeper who poured care into her work and was a passionate collector of antiques, always finding delight in discovering hidden treasures and sharing them with others.
A private funeral service will be held to honour her memory. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
