My sincere condolences to all on your loss. I, as many others, were patiently taught French at Ross Shepherd. The memory of "Mr. White", front of class in his framed glasses, sweater vests and sonourous voice remains to this day. He exuded calm, caring and a genuine interest in our pursuit of becoming bilingual. To this day, I think of him when speaking "Parisian French", gently correcting my accent along the way. Il est maintenant parmi les anges qui guident encore.

Dear Cheryl and Family,
I was so sorry to read of Brian's passing in the most recent ARTA magazine. Brian was my cooperating teacher and later my colleague and friend at Ross Shep. He was loved and admired by all of us, colleagues and students alike. I benefited so many many times from his knowledge and experience and he always had the time to talk about teaching in general and teaching French. He shared his materials with me and he always encouraged me in my work. My heartfelt condolences to you all on the loss of Brian.

Brian was amazing in several ways. A proud Geordie, he cultivated soccer skills, but later transferred them to volleyball, football and softball. If he ever warmed your heart with one of his warm fuzzies, you know his influence for good. This is a great loss. Condolences to Cheryl and the family.

Brians unique and colorful personality will be missed. He truly made the lives of his friends more interesting and meaningful. As a garden neighbor and friend I will miss his meticulously kept garden which he loved and nutured for many, many years. As a fellow congregant and as a recipient of a number of his notes over the years, we will miss the regular praise and encouragement he generously gave in those notes. Each life that touches ours, adds to our own lives in some way. Brian added something meaningful to mine and I am grateful for my acquaintance with him. Blessings to Cheryl and family.
