It is with broken hearts filled with love and eternal gratitude that Des, her beloved husband of 65 years, and children: Greg, Gary, Marguerite, Michael, and David announce mom's peaceful passing on October 24, 2015.

Born January 19, 1925 in Camrose, Alberta to Hector and Elizabeth McNeil; Marie was the second youngest in a family of ten. This beautiful, loving lady dedicated her life to her faith and family, her most cherished possessions. She so enjoyed the simple things life had to offer; never without a dog to spoil, gardening, sports, decorating, reading, and an incredible cook and consummate hostess who made the best homemade pies on the planet. Her greatest joy was with the family all gathered together enjoying her multi course feasts and our annual trips to JPL. Marie was a doting gram to Shawn, Kristy, Kevin, Shane, Cam and Kelly.

Marie also leaves to mourn her passing, her dear sister, Bernadette; brother, Andy (Marg); sisters-in-law: Pauline McNeil, and Laurette O'Connor; daughters-in-law: Linda, and Sheila; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by 5 brothers and 2 sisters.

A Prayer Service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at Connelly-McKinley St. Albert Funeral Home, 9 Muir Drive, St. Albert, Alberta. A Celebration of Mom's Life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, October 29, 2015 at St. John Evangelist Catholic Church, 9830-148 Street, Edmonton, Alberta.

We extend our deepest gratitude to all the various health care professionals who gave mom such TLC over the years. Especially Dr. Zalasky, Dr. Malowany, Dr. Cahill and the wonderful team at the Citadel Care Centre.
