My sincere sympathy to the family of Dr Long and to those who worked with him in his practice. He was funny and compassionate and kind. I met both Dr Long and Dr Meuller when I came out from NS to help them with management training. Martin was so proud of his family and the practice that he and Ed had created. I feel sad today that such a kind person is no longer here...however Im confident his spirit will be with you. I will remember his smile.

I am so grieved to say goodbye to my good friend. We have had so many good times together, all through dental school and then through our lives and business together. He taught me so much about life while playing hockey, golf and while working together, and I will always miss his positivity throughout it all. His life was a life well lived, and he left a legacy of being a friend to all he met.
Goodbye Marty.

Dr. Long was our dentist for several years. I feel very fortunate and grateful to have been his patient, not only because he was so good at what he did, but also because he was always pleasant and interesting to be with.

Even when he was very sick, he still maintained a positive disposition when I was at his office.

God must have needed a Dentist in heaven!

My sympathies to the family, and my prayers for his soul, as well as for the family to have strength during this difficult time.

Our deepest condolences to Dr. Long's family and to his colleagues and staff of the St. Albert Dental Clinic.

We are so saddened to hear of Dr. Long's passing but we hope it brings you comfort knowing his battle with cancer is over and he is at peace.

Dr. Long was our family dentist for 20+ years. Even after moving to Ft. Mac we continued to see Dr. Long for our dental needs. No other dentist compared to him!

He was a kind, compassionate and caring person and a very skilled dentist who had a genuine concern and respect towards others. It was these qualities that made him the best!

We not only saw Dr. Long as our dentist but also as a friend. He often spoke with enormous pride of his 2 daughters, he'd ask how our family was doing, how our boys were doing in hockey or he'd share his passion for golf with us. That was Dr. Long...he was just so down to earth and so easy to talk to.

It was a privilege and an honor to know Dr. Long. May you Rest In Peace.
We will miss you!

It was an honour to have worked with Martin for the last year. A dedicated and wonderful person,
so positive and friendly. I am thankful not to have had to play golf against him, I would have waved the white flag.
My deepest condolences to Betty, girls and the family, and my fellow co-workers, although we feel the pain, in heaven there is no pain.

How do you say "good bye" to a wonderful classmate and friend? For our first two years in dental training, we sat side by side every day in labs, fixing each other's wax-ups and models...... Because we share the letter "L" in our last names, we often got posted in similar rotations, working next to each other in clinics and other postings. It was great fun working with you, the familiar laughter, receiving your consolation when my dad passed away...... I will miss you Marty, thank you! Some day when I join you, I want you to teach me how to play golf!
I offer my deepest condolences to Betty and the girls. We know Marty is in a better place, with his big smile and loud laughter. Love, Vincent Lee

I only knew Marty through golf and some golf trips. He loved the game and everything about it, including a little trash talking when the opportunity presented itself. A class act that always made the day better when I was lucky enough to play in his group. RIP my friend.
