Anna Jean "Annie" MacKENZIE

Passed away peacefully at Millennium Trail Manor on Saturday, July 2, 2022 at the age of 92. Predeceased by her husband of 67 years Ronald 'Ron' (2016). Beloved mother of Warren (Debbie) MacKenzie, Ron (Carolyn) MacKenzie, Karen (Rob) Cort and the late Bruce MacKenzie (1952). Cherished grandmother to Richard (Natalia) MacKenzie, Jaclyn (Justin) Boone, Morgan MacKenzie (Darrel Lane), Reed MacKenzie, Ryan MacKenzie, Lauren MacKenzie, Trevor Cort, Dale Cort and Todd Cort. Loving great-grandmother of Max Mackenzie. Mrs. Mackenzie is survived by her sister Angie Sommise and sister-in-law Rose MacKenzie. She is predeceased by her parents Anna and Michele Demizio, parents-in-law James and Ellen MacKenzie, siblings William 'Willy' (Bern) Demizio, Joseph (Geraldine) Demizio, Nancy (Jack) Graham, Gladys (John) Hull, Rose Cardinale and Carmel (Joe) McHale. Mrs. MacKenzie was a tireless volunteer, a lifetime member of GNBA Ladies Auxillary working the canteen, and a member of the Catholic Women's League of Our Lady of Peace Church for over 50 years. She loved family, playing bingo and had a special affinity for children and helping anyone in need. Friends are invited to join the family at PATTERSON FUNERAL HOME, 6062 Main St., Niagara Falls, visiting Thursday, July 7, 2022 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Patrick's Church, with the Rite of Committal to follow at Fairview Cemetery. In memory of Mrs. MacKenzie, donations to The Niagara Health Foundation (Walker Family Cancer Center) or Diabetes Canada would be appreciated by her family.
