Passed away peacefully at The Meadows of Dorchester on Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at the age of 92. Beloved and devoted husband of 69 years to Dolores (nee Desson). Cherished and loving father of Ann (Bernie) Latoski and Jim (Dru) Quaranto. Loving grandpa of Shannon (Fabien) deFreitas, Jordan Latoski, Brett (Elizabeth) Latoski, Lyha (Michael) Romeo and Leslee (Hugo) Santana. Devoted great-grandpa to Soraya Freitas, Lucas and Theo Latoski, Matteo Romeo, Maddox and Avery Santana. Arthur is survived by many nieces and nephews in the Bianco, Perri, Quaranto and Desson Families. He is predeceased by his parents Vincenzo and Cristina, his four brothers Rocco (Maria), Stefano (Josephine), Augustino (Yolanda), Antonio (Barbara) and his sister Annunziata (Giuseppe) Perri. The family would like to thank Dr. Leung and his staff, Dr. Zimakas and his staff for their excellent care over the years. The staff at GNGH (Purple Line), his Personal Support Worker Eileen, his Nurses Kim and Brittanie, the staff and nurses at Meadows of Dorchester (Trillium Wing) and especially the front lobby staff, whom he regularly snuck up on during his daily wheelchair travels looking for coffee. Dad began working in the control room at the Norton Company in 1946 at the age of 17. Over the years he became actively involved in the union, and held many executive positions. At the time of his retirement in 1984, dad was a Research Foreman. He was an active member of St. Ann's, The Holy Name Society and The Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed bowling, swimming, golfing and many card games. Dad's greatest joys were his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a huge Toronto Blue Jay's fan and a lifelong, die-hard Toronto Maple Leafs fan. Friends are invited to join the family at the PATTERSON FUNERAL HOME, 6062 Main St. Niagara Falls, visiting Tuesday, April 19, 2022 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Ann's Church, with the Rite of Committal to follow at Fairview Cemetery. At the request of the family, guests will be required to wear a face covering in the funeral home, the church and at the cemetery.
