On October 7, 2022, at the age of 91, Audrey Jane left us peacefully to join her sweetheart Glen Sevenpifer (2013) in their heavenly home. Audrey was born in Humberstone, Ontario on November 30,1930 to Oscar and Winifred (Winnie) Bender, and sister Elda (Bob Arthurs). Growing up in Port Colborne, she loved nothing more than riding her bicycle all over town and to the beach with her best friends, Alice and Evelyn. She attended Port Colborne High School, where she met Glen on the football field while she was selling hotdogs for her sorority; OKE. They were married in 1949 and have three children Gloria, (Wayne Arnold), Richard (Dianne) and Brian (Carole). She loved to sing, garden, and draw the blueprints for the homes her husband would build. Audrey worked many years as a Teacher's Assistant for the Niagara South Board of Education and upon retiring, played bridge at every opportunity. An active member of the Presbyterian Church women, singing in the choir and working fundraising events. Nana's hugs and kisses will be forever embedded in the hearts of her greatest loves and joys of her life, her grandchildren, Brent Arnold (1981) and Alicia Arnold, Sara Sevenpifer and Karli Sevenpifer. You could count on her attending all of their celebrations and events. Many memories from family gatherings and reunions will be treasured in the hearts of her remaining brother-in-law, Ron Sevenpifer and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Audrey and Glen built their dream home on Lakeshore Rd in 2000 and spent 13 glorious years sitting on the front porch together or in the back den. In 2015 she moved into Portal Village, where she enjoyed many card games, puzzles, social gathering and chatting with the staff. Her last few years at Northland Pointe saw joy and in the end sorrow, but a lot of love and respect from her caregivers. Her feisty spirit, zeal for music, reading, and a good laugh will live on in the souls of her children and grandchildren. She loved all life had to offer and in one of her many published Tribune appearances was quoted, "I believe I came from the best time the world has ever seen." The family will receive visitors at the DAVIDSON FUNERAL HOME, 135 Clarence St., Port Colborne, from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday. A celebration of her life will be held in the chapel on Thursday, October 13th at 1:00 p.m. with visitation one hour prior. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. If desired donations can be made to The Alzheimer's Society of Ontario or the Terry Fox Run. Online condolences and guest register available at
