Barry Henderson Obituary
It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Barry William Henderson after a battle with cancer. Barry was predeceased by his parents Bill and Gwen, and his brother Tom. Barry leaves behind his one true love, Terry-Lynn and her children, Amanda, Adam, and Tessa as well as his furry friend Archie. Proud grandpa/JoJo to Harper, Malea, and Makena. He will be lovingly missed by his sister-in-law Lana, niece Shona and nephews Pat and Scott, as well as many cousins and countless friends. Barry was known by many as the "Bug Man" and by many more as a longtime and very talented drummer/ singer. He performed with Andromeda, Number 2 Fairburn, and for many years was on the road with Mike Roberts and the Legend and Comfort. He was also the nighttime DJ with CHOW Radio in Welland. Barry was a longtime member of The Gentlemen Songsters and the Niagara Men's Chorus; always rounding out the bass section. His love of sports included hardball, slo-pitch, and darts, which he was a skilled player and played in many leagues. As per his wishes cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 23, 2022, from 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 479, 5603 Spring St., Niagara Falls, Ontario. For those who wish to make memorial donations may give them to the Canadian Cancer Society or Hospice Niagara. Online condolences may be shared on Barry's tribute page found at EssentialsNiagara.com

Barry was the first friend I ever had in my life. Our friendship began in the 1950's. We lived three doors down the street from one another on Bridge Street in Martindale. I hold many stories in my mind of those early years. Barry and I were inseparable. I got him into a lot of trouble which wasn't his fault. I have been, and always will be, your friend Barry. Time and distance does not matter. See you on the other side my friend. Love you always.
