Craig SMITH Obituary

July 14, 1979 - July 16, 2021

It is with unbelievable sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our very loved Son, Dad, Brother, Grandson and Nephew Craig on Friday, July 16, 2021 at the young age of 42. Beloved son of Douglas and Gillian. Adored Dad of Hudson. Loving older brother of Alistair (Stephanie) and Blair, and fun loving uncle to Callum. Grandson to Archie and the late Winifred Boyd and the late Alexander and the late Nancy Smith. He will be dearly missed by many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, extended family members in Scotland, England, Portugal and Spain.
Craig had an amazing love of life and always looked to have a great time. You could find him working with his Dad at The Docks Pub, watching Hudson grow up into a young man, hanging out with friends and just having all in all a good time.
The family would like to thank everyone for the continuing support over the past few days. In accordance with the family's wishes a private family Celebration of Life will be held and cremation will follow. Arrangements are entrusted with the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME (905) 937-4444. Memorial donations may be made towards an education fund for his beloved son Hudson.

Ill never forget when I first met Craig, it was Canada Day 2007. He made quite the impression on me right away. He was outgoing, handsome and very funny.
Throughout the years he always kept in touch, and would help coordinate group gatherings with friends. He never left anyone out. From beach days, floating down Chippawa creek and meets ups at Windmill point. He also would support every Dj event I played at.
Many Many years later, he gave me the opportunity to work at his newly owned pub "The Docks"....through this, he helped me get out of a very bad situation I was in. Forever I will be truly grateful.
We became even closer through out the years, played on his pool team and started me on a pool playing venture that progressed into me opening my own pool hall.
If Craig never had me work for him, I can't say my life would have travelled along this path.
I'm forever grateful for the friendship we had. In response to you last words to me....love you back my friend!
