GIBBS, Darryl Joseph With shattered hearts we announce the passing of Darryl Joseph Gibbs (August 17, 1950 - July 14, 2018). He was greatly loved and will be forever missed by his wife of 43 years Silvana (Graffi) and his children Sarah (Mike) and Brandon (Krista). Darryl was the Best Papa Ever to his three cherished grandsons Brighton, Landon and Dante. He is survived by his sisters Peggy (Jim) and Darlene (John) and his sister-in-law Diana (Richard) as well as many nieces and nephews both here in Canada and the United States. He was predeceased by his parents Arthur and Florence, sister Mona, brothers Art and Bill, brother-in-law Lauchie, mother-in-law Romilda and his best friend Rick Reid. After graduating from college Darryl spent two years in Papua New Guinea with CUSO. Upon his return he began a career in the cable TV industry which brought him and his family to Mississauga and Cambridge. Darryl's enjoyment in life was always based on his time with his family including his four legged companions Bud followed by Gus and then Stuie. Never were there any greater days than those spent at the family cottage on Three Mile Lake. The memories created there will forever be a comfort to the loving family he leaves behind. The family would like to thank Dr. Scher and nurses Jocelyne and Dawn for their kindness and compassion. As per Darryl's wishes there will be no visitation or service, and cremation has taken place. If so desired donations may be made to the Walker Family Cancer Centre where Darryl received excellent care.
