Delatre Melvin "Dell" LEONARD

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our father Dell Leonard on October 15, 2022 at the age of 90. Beloved husband of the late Barbara. Sadly missed by his children David (Helen) Leonard, Donna (John) Knox. Loving Papa to Keith (Erin), Laura, Kyle (Robyn), and Kory (Sarah). "Big" Papa to Hayden, Gemma, Jaxson, Karson, Rylee, and Cole. He will be fondly remembered by his nephews, niece and friends. Dell retired from Cyanamid Welland Chemical, where he worked for over 40 years. He was an active member of their on-site fire brigade. He was a member of St. Mark's Lodge of Niagara Falls. Dell was an avid card player and enjoyed a good game of euchre. As per Dell's wishes, cremation has taken place. Friends and family will be received at HETHERINGTON & DEANS FUNERAL CHAPEL; 5176 Victoria Ave., Niagara Falls ON (905-354-5614) on Friday, October 21, 2022 from 1 - 2 PM. A Graveside service will be held at Fairview Cemetery following visitation at 2:15 PM. Many thanks to Dr. Scher and the nursing staff at Douglas Memorial Hospital for Dell's care. In lieu of flowers, donations to Salvation Army Niagara Falls or Project Share in Dell's memory would be appreciated by the family.
