Douglas BECK

We are saddened by the sudden loss of Douglas on Monday, April 10, of 2023 at the age of 75. Douglas Bruce Beck was a fantastic and loving father,
grandfather and most recently a great grandfather. He will be missed dearly
by his best friend Carol Boneberg. He will be forever missed by his sons Ryan (Kristi), Michael (Erin), his grandchildren Conner, Khloe, Summer, Chelsea(Laszlo) and great grandson Zayden.
Douglas will be missed by his sisters Sheila Otterman (Donny) and Sharon
Morris (Al), his nieces and nephews Danny, Kristie, Lisa and Robert. He is predeceased by his parents Clifford and Betty Beck. Douglas will be missed by his former wife and lifelong friend Sonja Green (Archie) He will be missed by many friends and cousins in the local communities surrounding the Port Colborne area where he was born and lived most of the years of his life. Of course, we cannot leave out his favorite pet, Stan the parrot.
Douglas was a talented musician with a love for vinyl records from a young
age. He enjoyed modern musical instruments and keyboards in the 80's and 90's as well as saxophone, guitar and bass throughout his whole life. He played a Hammond B organ all hours of the evening for his kids. Douglas was an intelligent thoughtful man who had a degree in electronics and was well studied in homeopathic medicine and many avenues of science. He had a love for astronomy, amateur radio and pottery at different times in life. Douglas was an excellent photographer, artist and thoughtful man. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place with arrangements entrusted to the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 179 Clarence Street, Port Colborne.
There will be a celebration of his life announced at a later date.
