Edda Antoinetta CRITELLI

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Edda Critelli, surrounded by the love of her husband, children, and grandchildren on March 12, 2022, in her 75th year. Beloved wife of Ascenzo Mascitelli. Loving mother of Connie Shepherd (Stephen Hoo), and Reg Shepherd (Tracy). Caring Nonna of Ethan, Dylan, Kennedy, Kole, Mason, and Madison. Survived by her brother Ross (Mary) and by her sister in-law Lina. Predeceased by her parents Antonio and Concettina and by her brother Nick.
Edda was a strong woman who overcame every challenge that came her way with determination. Her independence and willpower will always be a model for all of us.
Our mom loved her family more than anything and always put us first. We are privileged to call her mom and Nonna.
Mom, we love you so much. Thank you for all the lessons and the blessings you shared with us. We will miss you here but know you will be with us, watching over us always.
The family will receive friends at the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 179 Clarence Street, Port Colborne on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 17, 2022, at the Parish Community of St. Kevin (303 Niagara St. Welland) with Father Vijai Amirtharaj as celebrant. Cremation will follow. If so desired, memorial donations may be made to the C.N.I.B. or to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
