My sincerest condolences to Lori and the Barends family.
As teenagers we had a lot of fun hanging around the park, tossing the Frisbee around and watching baseball games.
Much earlier then those days, my dad was a scout leader and would hire Ed to do chores around the property. He taught me how to ride a bike.

I have many memories of Ed when i was a teen growing up in Fenwick. I worked with Ed as a highschool student at Willowbrook nurseries and he was an incredibly hard worker with great skill in growing high end nursery stock. He was always a smiling and happy person at our Fenwick parties over the decades! you could always get a chuckle out of Ed. He truly enjoyed life in the present moment where ever he was. He will never be forgotten that's for sure. My condolences to Lori and the family.
