Elsa Grenzberg Obituary

In Loving Memory of Elsa Katharina Grenzberg, who passed away peacefully in Richmond General Hospital, BC, on October 14. She was 89. Born in Kitchener ON to Rev. H.H. and Katharina (Andres) Janzen, married to Wilfred Grenzberg. Grew up in Kitchener and Winnipeg, lived in St. Catharines ON, Edmonton AB and Richmond BC. Predeceased by husband Wilfred, son Tom, brothers Rudy and Walter, and sister Erna. Survived by sons Willy, Paul, James and Steven (Anica), daughter-in-law Terry (Tom), grandchildren Chantel, Max, Rhys, Seth, Natalia, Cory, Chris and Cody, sister Lena, brothers Ed and Art (Darlene), and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Elsa was a little older than me in St. Catharines in the youth group. She was a delightful woman and I always admired her. She was fun and loved the Lord with all her heart.

Elsa and Wilf were our neighbours for 7 years. We always enjoyed her friendly smile and endearing personality. Rest in Peace Elsa.

I am saddened by the news of dear Elsa’s passing. She and Wilf were our neighbours on Kilkenny Dr. in St. Catharines. Her sons also went to high school with us! We shared many good times with Elsa and Wilf and were grateful to have them keep a watchful eye over us and our young family. I was so happy to visit with Elsa on September 6th, 2017, when she came to St. Catharines. We enjoyed a lovely lunch in Niagara-on-the-Lake and caught up on all the news about our families.

May she enjoy her heavenly home where she will Rest In Peace.
