Emily HARFST Obituary

Passed away peacefully at her home with Allison Benson at her side, holding her hand, on Wednesday September 14, 2022, at the age of 90. Loving mom of Kent, Carey and Renate. Dear Grandmother of Amanda (Claude), Isaak, Nahanni (Joel) and Carey Jr., and her great grandchildren Jayden and Brendan. Sweet Louise will be lovingly remembered by her nieces and nephews Randy, Debbie, Hope, Nancy and Donelda and their families. She will be missed by her brother-in-law John Armstrong. Louise was predeceased by her parents Alfred and Ida Moscrip, her son Mark Harfst, her siblings Albert Moscrip, Donald Moscrip and June Armstrong, her niece Nadine Moscrip and her sister-in-law Pearl Moscrip. Louise was a proud registered nurse for over 40 years and truly loved her job. She was an avid and proud Blue Jays and Maple Leaf fan. She was happiest when outside and with her family and friends. The Harfst family wishes to extend special thanks to all of the health care professionals that cared for mom. Your compassion and assistance will never be forgotten. At her request cremation has taken place and a celebration of her life will be held at a later time. Memorial remembrances to the charity of one's choice would be appreciated by the family. Funeral arrangements entrusted to DAVIDSON FUNERAL HOME, 135 Clarence St., Port Colborne.

I have known Louise since we were students at Elm St. School. The Moscrip family were good people and lived on Chippawa Rd. I also worked with her sister June. at banking.
