Wife, mother, grandma, great-grandma, GG. Passed away peacefully at the Greater Niagara General Hospital on Thursday, October 6, 2022, at the age of 88. Beloved wife of the late Allan Harold Coons (2020). Loving mother of Marc (Candyce) and Stephen. Fond memories were created with her sisters Eileen (Rick) Westaway, Ruth (John) Kormos and Judy (Walt) Brown. Predeceased by her parents Frank Clark and Delphine (nee Allen). A preschool teacher at Stamford Green Day Nursery School for over 20 years, her passions were all children who crossed her path in life - especially her grandchildren Leanne (Terry) Wittek, Kevin (Shawna), Timothy (Laura), Jesse and Jordan (Holly) and great-grandchildren Bianca, Charlotte, Brooklyn, and Rayden. She cherished her friendship and conversations with best friend of almost 70 years Fay Webber, her sisters and her Cherrywood Acres neighbours where she lived for over 50 years. A few of her greatest pastimes were a Harvey's hamburger, casino days with her sisters and sitting on the front porch enjoying a Bud Light. She loved sports, bocce competitions with friends, watching the Blue Jays and the Maple Leafs with Daryl Sittler being her all-time favourite player. As a teenager, she made fond memories attending Farmerette Camp. Frances was a strong supporter of Project Share, Shoulder 2 Shoulder, and Out of the Cold programs at St. Andrew's Church. Frances' family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to Dr. Girard and staff for their many years of very compassionate and quality care. Cremation has taken place. Friends are invited to join the family at the PATTERSON FUNERAL HOME, 6062 Main St, Niagara Falls, visiting Thursday, October 13, 2022, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. A Funeral Service in honour of both Frances and Allan will be held at 12 p.m. at the funeral home, followed by interment at Fairview Cemetery. A celebration of both of their lives, which included 67 wonderful years of marriage, will follow at SCVFA Reception Hall at Fireman's Park (Dorchester and Mountain Roads) at 1:30 p.m. In memory of Frances, memorial contributions can be made to Project Share and will be appreciated by her family.
