Gaetane Reiter Obituary

In the arms of her daughter, Gaetane passed away peacefully on June 26, 2022 at the age of 84. She is now dancing in the sky with her husband, Josef (2015). Loving mother and best friend to Joanne. Mamie to Alyssa (Hunter) and Ron (Gosia). She will be dearly missed by her brother Rick Desabrais (Audrey), her sisters Gisele (Florent Houde), Lorraine (Ghyslain) Cantin, her sister-in-law Theresa Reiter, and their families. Gaetane was predeceased by her parents, Guillaume and Simonne Desabrais. Gaetane was a longstanding member of Paroisse Immaculee Conception and their organist for forty-nine years. She was a teacher at both Immaculee Conception and Sainte Marguerite Bourgeoys school. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 29, 2022, from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at George Darte Funeral Home, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines. Funeral Mass will be held at Paroisse Immaculee Conception on Thursday, June 30th at 11 a.m. If desired, donations to the Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family.
