Unfortunately, I only recently found out that my niece Gertie passed away. My sincere condolences to all her beloved ones.

30 years ago, I spend a wonderful week with Gertie when I visited uncle Jan and aunt Geert (my mothers sister). Although Gertie and I never met before, we got along well. We had lots of laughs, discovered the area together and visited, amongst others, the Shakespeare festival in Stratford.

Although we hung out together briefly, I have had many good memories of her. I never forgot her warm personality, genuine interest and humour.

I will never forget her. May she rest in peace.

Dear loved ones of Gertie
Very sorry to hear of her passing. As a little child visiting Oom Jan and Tante Geert, I remember the kindness and attention of Gertie as an older and cooler young woman.

May all of her beloved ones be comforted and May her memory be a blessing to you.

Gertie met us twenty two years ago, and kept in touch often. She was a gem, and loved our dog, Carrie, who also adored her. Rest In Peace Gertie. You will not be forgotten.
