Cathleen and I want to express our sincere condolences to you all at this time of loss.
What to say?
For me, Buster was the bridge between my generation and my father's generation.
My Dad was proud of his brothers and boasted of their accomplishments often.
'Bus' could be 'hip' yet worldly and fatherly at the same time.
I always considered him a friend first, and an uncle when needed.
My bride of 34 years thought he was a very dear soul, and she knew how much I looked up to him from a very young age.
We hope you (Ron), Dawn and Laurie plus all the cousins and grandchildren and extended family members and friends will work through the many emotions and realize how lucky we all were to have had him in our lives.
To Muriel, I am sure this is not how you thought 60+ years together would end.
We feel your pain, and we know he loved you dearly.
I saw it when you were just high school sweethearts.
I always saw it throughout our lives whenever our paths crossed.
Cathleen saw it too from the moment I brought her to the 'family' for their 'approval.'
To Bill, what a special love you have for your brother.
How you stayed in contact all these years and could just enjoy each other's company.
That was very comforting to the rest of us.
As far as I know Buster had no enemies in this world. Everyone who knew him cherished that relationship.
We are less with him gone; but never forgotten.
Each of us takes a piece of what Buster gave us as we go on.
Our love to you all from afar.
