Heidi LUKACS Obituary

LUKACS, Heidi Anita (La Pointe) Passed away suddenly in Port Colborne Ontario on April 12, 2018 in her 56th year. Born on November 16, 1962 in Toronto to Donna Marie Wallin and Charles Arthur La Pointe. Graduate of Niagara College Canada Social Service Worker Program and St. Lawrence College, Ontario Animal Care Technology Program. Employed by Easy Express Courier delivering for Canada Post and cashier at Avondale Food Stores, previously a school bus driver and union representative for First Student Canada. She was a devoted hard working mother of Tessa that respected people for who they were, without judgment, not to be turned away. She loved both classical and modern music, the outdoors, and animals, especially her horse and dog. Predeceased by her grandparents Charles and Anita La Pointe of Port Colborne, and her brother Andre Francois La Pointe of Toronto. Survived by Tim Lukacs; loving daughter Tessa Marie Lukacs; mother Donna (Ross) Evans of Halifax; father Charles (Irene) La Pointe of Cuenca Ecuador, sister Danielle La Pointe of Truro, NS, and eight children, Robert (Megan), Rebecca (Anthony), Nathan (Nancy), Rachel (Jeremy), William, Michael, John, Jeremy; sister Michele (Doug) Meredith of Hudson, PQ, and four children Joel (Jen), Jamie, David (Gaby), and Daniel; brother John Charles (Angela) Tousignan of Port Colborne and five children Candis (Jake), Amanda (Kyle), Justin, Garnet, Evan; sister Ingrid (Kevin) Pierson of Picton, ON, and two children Skylar, Jaylan; brother Chris (Erica) Evans of Halifax; aunt Dorothee (Dick) McCaffery of Port Colborne and 2 children, Peter (Wieslawa) Anger, John (Mary) Anger; aunt Madeleine La Pointe of Port Credit and four children, Michael (Aldena), Shawn (Irene), Elizabeth (Albert), Lynn (John); aunt Marguerite (Gino) Matteo of Niagara on the Lake, ON, and three children, Anthony, Lisa (Greg), Michael; friend Cary Clouser; and faithful dog Aini. The family will receive friends at the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL 179 Clarence Street, Port Colborne on Friday, April 20th from 7 - 9 p.m. and on Saturday, April 21st from 12 - 2 p.m. Funeral Service will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the Armstrong Chapel with Pastor Brian Lofthouse officiating. Cremation will follow. If so desired, donations may be made at any T.D. Canada Trust or E-Transfer to Account #3464 6398935 for a Memorial Bench in memory of Heidi.
