1938 - 2022
Mom was born to Otto and Josephine Bachmann on October 23, 1938 in Vienna, Austria. They Survived the bombing of WWII and Immigrated after the war. They settled in Niagara Falls where her parents built the family home on Garner Rd. Inge graduated from Stamford College in 1958 and went on to Teachers College. Upon completion she taught at the C.N.I.B. in Brantford. She met her husband, Helmut at a dance at the German Village and they married in October of 1960. They ran a dairy farm and later a beef cattle - Emu - Cash crop farm. Inge had her two boys, Richard and David. When they were a bit older, she did some supply teaching. She was very involved in community organizations, President of Big Sisters and Big Brothers of Niagara Falls, Niagara South Dairy Princess Coordinator, one of the founding members of Agriculture in the Classroom and instrumental in bringing the Fresh Air Fund from New York City into Southern Ontario. Inge is predeceased by her daughter-in-law Shirley and her grandson Andrew (both in 2021). She is survived by Husband Helmut and sons Richard and David as well as friend and former little sister Lisa Dwyer. Inge will be deeply missed by all her family and those who knew her. A graveside inurnment will be held on Saturday September 17, 2022 at 11:00 am at LAKEVIEW Cemetery, 3651 Thorold Townline Rd, Thorold, followed by a memorial service at MORSE & SON FUNERAL HOME, 5917 Main Street, Niagara Falls.
