Ioanna "Anna" PANAGAKIS

Surrounded by her family, Anna passed away on Tuesday, December 6, 2022 at the age of 76. Devoted wife to George for nearly 53 years. Loving mother to Vicki (Alex Milosavlevic) and Mary (Martir Hadjinian). Cherished Yiayia to Luca, Anna, Melina, and Marika. Dearly missed by her sisters Nella Diamandouros and Katerina Papamichail. Predeceased by her sister Alexandra Makrilias. Anna will be lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, and friends. Anna immigrated to Cananda from Affisou-Sparta, Greece in 1967. She met the love of her life and she and George married in 1970. Anna's children and grandchildren brought her the greatest joy. She will always be remembered by her family and friends as a kind, sweet, and loving woman. Family and friends will be received on Friday, December 9, 2022 from 5 - 8 p.m. at George Darte Funeral Home, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines with the First Thrice Holy Hymn/Trisagio Service offered at 7 p.m. The Second Thrice Holy Hymn/Trisagio Service, followed by the Funeral Service will take place on Saturday, December 10, 2022 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Katherine Greek Orthodox Church, 585 Niagara St. with the Third Thrice Holy Hymn/Trisagio Service to follow at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. If desired, donations to St. Katherine Greek Orthodox Church or Hotel Dieu Shaver Hospital would be appreciated by Anna's family.
