Jack GRICE Obituary

On Tuesday, November 2nd after a courageous battle with cancer, Jack passed peacefully at Niagara Hospice in St. Catharines with his loving daughters by his side. Jack has been reunited with his beloved wife Irene (Romaniuk) to continue their adventures together. Jack was a loving father and mentor to his daughters Terri and Lesley (Paul), and cherished grandfather to Sydney, Davis, Sophie and Emily. Jack was born and raised in St. Catharines and worked with Thompson Products (TRW) for 43 years as a Tool & Die Maker. To satisfy his passion for speed, Jack and Irene also owned and operated Niagara Motorbike in St. Catharines and Falls Honda Centre in Niagara Falls. A special thank you to the entire team at the Niagara Hospice Stabler Centre for their care, compassion, and humour through this difficult time. We could not have done this without you! In accordance with Jack's wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of his life and visitation will be held at Tallman Funeral Home (3277 King Street, Vineland) on Tuesday, November 8th from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice Niagara in Jack's memory are appreciated by the family. Online condolences can be shared on Jack's tribute page at www.tallmanfuneralhomes.ca

Deepest condolences and prayers to Jack's family and friends during this difficult time.
I knew him during our teens in the neighbourhood and at Grantham High. After over sixty years we re-connected about ten months ago. We had a lot in common and shared many thoughts over numerous lunches.
In the last month's, I visited Jack in hospice and hospital and admired his strength and love for his family. Terri and Leslie were amazing in their daily love and care for their Dad and a very welcoming strength to me during visit.
Jack will be truly missed, but not forgotten.
Rest in peace my friend.

Jack and Irene shared the end of Roland Road with us for a number of years. They were the perfect neighbours and Jack even provided "security" service for us during the many months that our house sat idle before we moved in. He was always there to help with any chore and entertained us with many a good story. We loved his sense of humour and quick wit and his very obvious devotion to family. After Irene passed we'd meet for a meal here and there. Jack will be sorely missed but always remembered!
